John Allen Chau, an American tourist and Christian missionary, embarked on a perilous journey to North Sentinel Island on November 15, 2018, with the intention of converting the indigenous Sentinelese tribe to Christianity. North Sentinel, part of India’s Andaman and Nicobar Islands, is home to one of the world’s most isolated and hostile tribes.
